Book Cover – Family Heritage Books

The Broadway Family committee wanted a book cover that incorporated the painting of family artist Danny Broadway. The cover colors are also symbolic of family ancestry racial mix of African American, Cherokee Indian and White. The book was released July 2010.

Book Description:
In Marie (Broadway) Toms second family heritage book Broadway, Clark, Beasley Generations, she traces the footsteps of early Arkansan settler Grandpa Oliver and takes the generations back two more step to Grandpa Oliver’s grandfather James Broadaway who is believed to have been a slave in North Carolina and later lived with his son Marshall Broadaway and his wife, a Cherokee Indian, Silvia Broadaway. Also, featured on the BCBG book’s cover is a painting of the great Broadway and Clark wagon train journey by Danny Broadway, celebrated Memphis artist.

In the late 1800s, several Broadaway and Clark families packed up a wagon train and moved to Arkansas seeking better opportunities. The rest is history, when the dust settled from the journey James Broadaway, Marshall Broadaway and Silvia Clark Broadaway are the main patriarchs and matriarch… (now available)
